Hi, I’m Janice. I’ve recently joined the 4 Rivers team as a WALX Guide and will be leading some of the Nordic WALX. I’ve always loved walking and after reading about the benefits of Nordic Walking, I was intrigued as to how different it would be. Semi-retirement from work gave me the push to find out and I haven’t looked back!
I’ve suffered from lower back and neck problems and find Nordic Walking has increased my core strength more than ordinary walking and has improved my overall fitness. More than that I really enjoy getting out in the open air, meeting new people and discovering different walks. On a recent walk a member of our group remarked “What a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon” – I couldn’t agree more, it really is great for mind, body and soul.
